Day 1

On arrival at the airport in Dubai you will be met and transferred to your hotel for a 2-night stay with the balance of the day at leisure.
Day 2

Meet with your local tour guide for a brief orientation talk before departing on a morning tour of the city. First, stop to take pictures of the magnificent Jumeira Mosque, a spectacular example of modern Islamic architecture. In “Bastakia”, a picturesque heritage site, stop to admire the old houses built by wealthy merchants with their wind towers. Nearby in the Al Fahidi Fort is the Dubai Museum that records the city’s past as an important pearl diving and trading centre. Continue the tour by “abra”, a local water taxi, crossing the Creek with its backdrop of Dubai’s fantastic modern buildings to reach the spice and gold “souks”. After a stop for lunch (on own account), the afternoon and evening is at leisure.

› Ras Al Khaimah
After breakfast the tour departs for Sharjah, where on arrival you will see the Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi Mosque and then walk along the Corniche, watching people working on the traditional dhows (sail boats), that transport goods around the Persian Gulf coast. Visit the old Souq (market) that sells typical clothing found throughout the Middle East. Continue your walk to Al Hisn Fort, home of the former ruler of Sharjah, to see an interesting film about the history of Sharjah. Afterwards, visit the Blue Souq, where more than 600 shops sell carpets, gold, silver, antiques, and perfumes. From the souq there is a wonderful view of the King Faisal Mosque next to the Ittihad Monument. After lunch (on own account) the tour continues along the northern coast through the cities of Ajman and Um Al Quwain to Ras Al Khaimah for an overnight stay

Today set off in 4WD vehicles for a mountain safari, this will include a picnic lunch. En route there will be a stop at the oldest mosque in the UAE at Bidiya. Arrive later in the afternoon in Fujairah, on the Indian Ocean for an overnight stay.

Day 5

After checking out, set off to visit the old city of Fujairah followed by a stop at the Bithna Oasis. After walking through the market in Masafi, head south and inland to Al Ain, a charming desert oasis where trading caravans have stopped from time immemorial and where you will spend the night. After lunch (on own account) visit the archaeological dig at Hili that dates back some 5,000 years, before proceeding to Al Ain’s museum next to an old fortress. From there, take a walk around an oasis to learn about its traditional irrigation system then visit the ancient Camel Market. The evening is at leisure.

Al Ain
› Abu Dhabi
Before leaving Al Ain, visit the Palace Museum then proceed to Abu Dhabi, the capital of United Arab Emirates. In this city of dramatic contrasts, stop to photography the Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque, followed by a visit to the Cultural Foundation beside the ancient Al Husn Fort and a drive along the Abu Dhabi Corniche with its fabulous fountains. Next visit the Heritage village on the waterfront, where there are spectacular views of the city’s skyline. There’ll be a stop for lunch during the tour (on own account). The evening is at leisure in Abu Dhabi.

After breakfast, visit the Abu Dhabi Fish Market before returning to Dubai. En route, drive past the world’s largest man-made port at Jebel Ali. After checking-in to the hotel in Dubai, set out in the late afternoon for a Dune Dinner Safari. As you travel through the dunes, stop to photograph the camel camps and enjoy the spectacular scenery at sunset. On arrival at the camp there will be a succulent barbecue before returning to Dubai for the night.
