OverviewEnjoy the best that Israel has to offer on this 9-day tour filled with every historical site imaginable. Starting from modern Tel Avi, travel back into the past to the heights of Masada where, in 73 AD, the Zealots fought their final battle against the Romans before committing mass suicide. Here you can walk through the excavations of Herod’s palaces, the bathhouse and a synagogue as well as have wonderful views of the surrounding countryside before travelling to the depths of the Dead Sea, the lowest point on the planet. Savor Jerusalem’s riches both old and new where one of the highlights includes a tour of the Israel Museum where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed in the architecturally unique Shrine of the Book. Then follow in the footsteps of Jesus through Bethlehem, Nazareth to the Sea of Galilee. While staying in a Kibbutz Hotel in this area, tour the Golan Heights, Jericho, the oldest city in the world, some Druze villages and ancient Tiberias.
Next it’s on to the beautiful city of Haifa, where your city tour will include the Bahai Shrine with its beautiful Persian Gardens and Mount Carmel for a view of the city and the bay. After a visit at Caesarea, an ancient Roman city, fly from Tel Aviv to the Red Sea resort of Eilat and finish this memorable tour with the excursion of a lifetime to Jordan’s Rose City of Petra, one of the most photographed sites in the Middle East.
