A taste of southern and central Turkey will give you a rich insight into the wonders of this amazing country. Starting in the Mediterranean coastal resort of Antalya, you’ll have time to relax in beautiful surroundings or take some optional excursions including a cruise along the coast or a visit the ancient Lycian ruins at Phaselis. Then head into the interior of the country, stopping first at Konya, home of the Whirling Dirvishes before arriving in Cappodocia. During the days you spend here, you will see the most extraordinary structures - entire towns carved from sandstone caves and filled with early Christian frescos. Next on the itinerary is Ankara, Turkey’s capital. Here you will visit its spectacular Anatolian Civilizations Museum and the Mausoleum of Ataturk, the father of modern Turkey. The tour ends in magical Istanbul full of history and treasures where you will have a choice of things to see and do.
