+ - Day 1 Delhi

Overnight Accommodations
+ - Day 2 Delhi

After breakfast at the hotel, set off on a guided morning tour of Old Delhi. First visit the magnificent Red Fort built when the Mughal (Muslim) architecture was at its peak. Within its walls are marble palaces and a grand audience chamber, the Diwan-i-Khas, where Mughal emperors held court and the Peacock Throne once stood. Opposite the fort are the black and white onion dome and minarets of the Jama Masjid, the most elegant mosque in India. Then make a brief stop at Raj Ghat—Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial in black marble.  The highlight of the morning is a walk through Chandni Chowk (Silver Square), the main shopping street, and a legacy of the Mughal era.  This afternoon is devoted to touring New Delhi. Drive down the main avenue, the impressive Rajpath to the World War I memorial arch, the India Gate, and pass the Presidents House and the secretariat buildings - the centre of all government activity. Then visit the Qutub Minar, 72 meters high and the ruins of Quwat-ul-Eslam (Light of Islam) Mosque and Delhi’s most curious antique, the un-corroded Iron Pillar, which dates back to the 4th century AD.  The evening is at leisure.
