Departing early this morning from your hotel in Johannesburg, drive north through the dry bush veldt with its majestic Baobab trees to reach the overnight campsite at Palapye near the Botswana border.

Day 2 & 3
Palapye
› Chobe River
Cross into Botswana and drive due north to the Chobe River and set up camp. During your stay in Chobe National Park an area famous for its beautiful scenery, magnificent sunsets and abundance of wildlife and birdlife, end the day with a game viewing cruise on the river where many elephants found in come down to drink.

› Livingstone
This morning cross the Zambian border to Livingstone for a view of Victoria Falls, one of the most spectacular sights in Africa. The remainder of the day and evening is at leisure.

Today is spent at leisure where you can browse in the local markets, and experience the many optional activities (own expense). Activities included white water rafting, bungee jumping, micro-lighting airplane or helicopter over the falls. You can also take rhino walks and elephant back safaris.

› Zambezi River
Spend the day travelling through southern Zambia before setting up camp on the banks of the Zambezi River. Here you can enjoy the sunset from the deck overlooking the river.

Day 7 & 8
Zambezi River
Set off in your canoe for a 2-day excursion on the Zambezi River. (On this canoe excursion you will paddle between 25-30km, for a period of 5-7 hours each day, including a lunch break. No previous canoeing experience is necessary however you must be fit and in good health).

Today continue through Zambian countryside by road, traveling via the capital city of Lusaka to your next camp located near the Luangwa River.

Day 10 & 11

› South Luangwa National park
Today enter one of the finest wildlife sanctuaries in Africa, South Luangwa National Park to camp for 2 nights. The early morning game drive through this vast park, which is home to numerous predators and species of Antelope, is one of the day’s highlights. Optional night game drives are available (own expense).

Day 12 & 13

› Lake Malawi
Departing Zambia today, arrive in Malawi and spend the next 2 nights camping beside Lake Malawi. Spend your time relaxing, swimming and enjoying the beauty of the lake.

› Blantyre
The morning is spent enjoying the lake before heading for the largest city in Malawi, Blantyre where the evening is at leisure.

Crossing the Zambezi River at Tete, leave Malawi for Mozambique. Drive through the scenic eastern highland mountains with their many scattered traditional African villages. Relax around the campfire after a full day’s drive.

Arriving today on the Indian Ocean coast, you will set up camp overlooking its azure waters. These two days are spent at leisure relaxing on the beach, swimming, or enjoying one of the optional activities such as snorkeling and diving (own expense). At night, you can sample local seafood cooked over an open fire.

Day 18 & 19

› Morrongulu
Continue south to Morrongulu and a beautiful camp-site set up under the palm trees close to the long empty beaches. During the day swim in the warm blue waters of the Indian Ocean, or choose an excursion such as deep-sea fishing, scuba diving or snorkeling along the colorful reefs off the coast (own expense).

› Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park
› Massingir Dam
Traveling inland enter the newly formed Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park – a joint conservation venture by South Africa and Mozambique. Camp is set up alongside the Massingir Dam.

Day 21, 22 & 23
Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park
› Kruger National Park
Before leaving Mozambique there is an optional guided bush walk (own expense) in the wild areas surrounding the camp in the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park. After lunch re-enter South Africa, arriving in the famous wildlife sanctuary of the Kruger National Park. Spend 2 nights in the Northern Kruger with the last night in the Southern section. Enjoy daily early morning and late afternoon game drives, observing numerous species of animals and birds and relaxing in camp during the middle of the day. Optional night game drive is available (own expense).

Day 24
Kruger National Park
› Johannesburg
After a final early morning game drive depart from the Kruger Park and head for Johannesburg. The tour ends late in the afternoon after a lovely drive from the Low Veldt to the High Veldt.
