Known as the Imperial Cities: Rabat, Meknes, Fes and Marrakech are as exotic as they sound.  Each has its own character and flavor and is full of fascinating history not to mention wonderful markets.  Beautiful tiled-gateways lead into walled cities that have been in existence from the great period of Moorish dominance in North Africa, and their legacy is still visibly vibrant today.

Arrival

Arrive in the coastal city of Casablanca where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure with dinner at the hotel.

+ - Day 2 Casablanca

After breakfast enjoy a tour of Casablanca.  Drive through the United Nations Square and past the Hassan ll Mosque with its 600ft high minaret.  Visit the Central Market, the Habous Quarter and then the beautiful Ain Diab Corniche whose beaches and beach clubs overlook the Atlantic Ocean.

+ - Day 3 Casablanca › Rabat › Meknes › Fes

Morning drive to Fes stopping in Rabat, the country’s capital, where you will see such impressive buildings as the Hassan Tower, the Mohamed V Mausoleum, and the Kasbah of Oudayas. Then continue the drive to Meknes and tour this ‘Moroccan Versailles’ a walled city renowned for its Moorish architecture. See the wonderful gate of Bab El Mansour, the palace complex and the Moulay Ismail. Continue to Fes arriving in time for dinner.

Spend the day touring this fascinating, ancient city, well known for its spiritual and educational contributions to Moroccan culture.  Beyond the great entrance gate of Bab Boujloud awaits tiny alleyways in the souks (markets), mosques, fountains, historic study halls and palaces. Visit a leather tannery, a carpet co-operative and much more.

Travel south today to Marrakech, stopping en route for lunch in Beni Mellal.  The remainder of the day is at leisure in Marrakech

Spend the day touring Marrakech, with its surrounding pink sandstone walls.  Visit the famous Saadian Tombs, Dar Si Said Museum Palace, Majorelle Gardens, Koutoubia mosque, Dar Si Said Museum Palace, and Bahia Palace. After lunch, continue with a walk in the souks and into the famous Jemaa El Fna, a massive square that is the heart and soul of Marrakech.
