Following an early breakfast, depart Nairobi on your drive north to reach the small town of Nyeri arriving at lunchtime. After a sumptuous lunch at the base hotel, a transfer is provided to the lodge in the early afternoon. The night is spent in your comfortable perch above the floodlit waterhole and saltlick where, throughout the night, a procession of animals comes to drink.

A short drive will bring you to the world-famous Mount Kenya Safari Club. The Club, located at the foot of Mt. Kenya boasts elite membership of movie stars, aristocrats and politicians, both local and international. Spend a day of total relaxation in the beautiful landscaped gardens or partake in activities such as golf, tennis and horseback riding.

Set off this morning with a packed lunch for a day trip to Ol Pejeta Rhino Reserve, a haven for nature lovers. At Sweet Waters Tented Camp overlooking on one of the finest waterholes in the reserve you will have an unforgettable opportunity to watch and photograph big game. Also, a visit to the Chimp sanctuary is included. Return to Mt Kenya Safari Club for dinner and an evening at leisure.

› Maasai Mara Game Reserve
This morning, a transfer is provided to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight that will whisk you across the Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Arrive at the Mara Safari Club for your 3-night stay. Following lunch set out on an afternoon game drive during which it would be possible to locate the huge black-manned lions, for which the reserve is famous.
(NOTE: Maximum baggage allowance on the light aircraft flight mentioned in the itinerary is 15 kgs per person in soft side bags only plus a reasonable amount of camera equipment).

Day 6 & 7
Maasai Mara
Over the course of the next 2 days you traverse the great open plains of the Maasai Mara during morning and afternoon game drives. There will be time to relax at your hotel and enjoy its refreshing swimming pool. The vegetation is mostly savanna type with forested areas near the rivers and of course the dwarf acacias to cater for the giraffes. More than 60 species of animals are found here and countless bird species, including the Maasai ostrich and the long-legged Secretary bird. It is in the Maasai Mara where the great migration of the wildebeest takes place at the beginning of August.

After breakfast you are transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Nairobi. On arrival at Wilson airport, a meet and greet service an transferred to the city where a day room is reserved for your comfort and convenience prior to late evening departure to the airport for your onward journey.

Norfolk Hotel
Location: The Norfolk is situated right in the heart of Kenya. It is only a few minutes away from the city centre. It is a thirty-minute drive from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
Fairmont The Norfolk Hotel has played a leading role in Kenya’s colorful history, and continues to be Nairobi’s finest and best-known hotel. The town and later the modern city of Nairobi grew up around Fairmont The Norfolk hotel, which still has its own private tropical gardens. The hotel is still the traditional starting point for safaris and has been the country’s premier hotel for 104 years. It’s guest rooms offer lavish furniture, plush carpeting and deep velour furnishings. The hotel features its own private gardens as well as the Lord Delamere Terrace is modern Nairobi’s most famous meeting place, Fairmont The Norfolk was expanded in 1999 and subsequently renovated in time for its centennial, which it celebrated in 2004. The hotel now offers accommodations in 165 guest rooms, has eight conference rooms the largest seating 175 delegates, 6 restaurants, 24-hour room service menu, a heated outdoor swimming pool, health club with gym, sauna and steam room, beauty salon, book shop and gift shops.
The Ark Lodge
LOCATION: In the heart of Aberdare National Park, 160km north of Nairobi.
The Ark is known as a “tree hotel”, built on pillions in such a way as not to disturb the animals around the waterhole. Its three decks provide superb vantage points for game viewing. A ground-level bunker provides excellent photographic opportunities, and the Yasabara waterhole is floodlit by night to enable all-night viewing of game. A “Resident Hunter” is always on hand to elucidate on the wildlife and landscape. The 60 guest rooms are all en-suite. 9 of these are triple-bedded State Cabins; there are 45 Twin/Double-bedded State Cabins, 5 single-bedded State Cabins and 1 single-bedded courier cabin which is not en-suite. All cabins have bedside lamps and carpeted floors to ward off the evening and morning chill, small luggage racks and views of the forest or waterhole revealing game in the proximity. Cabins are provided with water flasks and glasses, hot water bottles and extra blankets. The bathrooms contain 115/240v shaving socket, shower stall, washbasin and flush toilets.
Mount Kenya Safari Club
Location: The Mount Kenya Safari Club is situated on the foothills of Mount Kenya, bordering the Mount Kenya National Park, just 10kms from Nayuki Town.
With magnificent views of majestic Mount Kenya, the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club’s 120 luxuriously appointed guest rooms, set in over 100 acres of landscaped gardens, offer a unique blend of comfort, relaxation and adventure. For those who wish to spend time relaxing at the Club, there are many recreational activities available: horseback riding, golf croquet, a bowling green, table tennis, swimming, a beauty salon, an animal orphanage and much more. There are 120 guest rooms spread out in the delightful grounds of the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club. Accommodation comprises Fairmont and Deluxe rooms, Suites, and Cottages. All rooms feature fire place, in room safe, a fully stocked mini-bar, tea and coffee facilities, separate WC and rain shower.
Mara Safari Club
Location: Fairmont Mara Safari Club is set by the Mara River at the foot of the Aitong Hills in the Ol-Chiro Oiroua Conversation Area that borders the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. The Mara Safari Club is a 45 minute flight to Nairobi Wilson Airport and 10 minute drive to Ngerende Airstrip.
The Fairmont Mara Safari Club has opened following an extensive renovation program. Surrounded on three sides by the Mara River, and on the edge of the world’s Seventh “New” wonder of the World – the Maasai Mara – Fairmont Mara Safari Club is the epitome of tented luxury. The main lodge at the centre of camp hosts an indoor restaurant, bar and library with Internet access. A spacious outside deck overhangs the river and leads to a heated pool complete with bar and private massage tents. There is a total of 50 tents with four poster, pillow-top beds and a veranda overlooking the hippo and crocodile-filled river. Each of the 50 tents at Fairmont Mara Safari Club is superbly furnished with its own private, three-piece bathroom, including a number of “outdoor showers” in selected tents.
